I employed this experiment for a freshman Physical Science class, but it may be adapted For a lot of ages and cases.  It's also an unbelievably inexpensive experiment that may be performed with nearly no lab gear if required.You'll be able to see this process in action in your own personal home if you reside within a region with tricky water.
